About Chrissy

Chrissy Hopewell has been writing since she was a little girl, and her oldest novella, penned at nine years old, was called Through the Eyes of a Horse, followed by the sequel, Through the Eyes of Cat. Both were absolutely terrible, and survive to this day in single hard copies, secured in a safe deposit box.

She started reading inappropriate novels in early middle school, secretly taking out Stephen King books from the public library and sneaking her mother’s spicy Jude Deveraux romances. Her mother, an elementary school reading teacher, was delighted at her interest in reading and gladly looked the other way. To this day, Chrissy’s Stephen King and smutty romance novel collections live in harmony on her physical and digital bookshelves.

After leaving her mother’s romance book collection in New Jersey and graduating from college, Chrissy spent varying amounts of time living overseas, including working at a pub in Dublin when she was nineteen, waitressing at a fancy hotel in the Scottish Borders after college, and getting her MBA and working in London in her late twenties and early thirties, where she met her husband. She now lives an ever-so-slightly less exciting existence in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband, four lovely-yet-high-maintenance children, and one small, scrappy rescue cat named Detective Peppermint.

Chrissy was a Pitch Wars mentee in 2022 (RIP Pitch Wars mentorship program) and is so lucky to spend her days taking care of her children, writing romance novels, and trying to explain books and publishing to her family.

Follow her on Facebook and Instagram, where she talks books, kids, and life, and TikTok, where she plans on embarrassing herself to try to get people to read her stories..
